  • The Artist


  • Mingyur Tsewang (Yogi Artist) - Born on 1982 AD, started painting and art since his school age and get training after his high school in 1998. He receives training on Thangka painting by one of famous Tibetan Thangka Artist, Mr. Karma Thupten Lama. Later on he wanted to learn some modern contemporary medium of five arts and went to renowned artist Mr. Bara (Babu Raja Dyola). After training, the Yogi Artist had worked with various association that deal with ritual paintings and other arts. Sharping his knowledge and idea, he started to paint on canvas as well.

  • Beside Thangka and ritual painting, Yogi Artist (Mingyur Tsewang ) is also doing oil and acrylic base painting, portrays expressing vitality, dynamic through a modern interpretation of traditional themes. His works are now in collection of local business, private home and also renowned national and international collections.

    Now, Yogi Artist is the owner of Yogi Art Gallery in Kathmandu, Nepal.

  • "Yogi" Painting Exhibation

    21 - 25 Dec 2011 Kathmandu, Nepal

    The exhibition was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, ambassador of Thailand to Nepal on 21 Dec 2011. More than 100 of ritual arts and oil painting were exhibited and it was observed by nearly 10 thousand visitors.

    In July 2015, Yogi Art Gallery has conducted an art workshop in Dhulikhel, Nepal. During the monsoon season, various artist were gather to draw their imagination on the canvas and understand about Morden art.
